#note/quote Seen on ancient greek tablet in Evia, Greece Chris Miller (and many others) said, "Low expectations is the secret to happiness" I think this is subtly different. Avoiding unhappiness is different than striving for happiness. If we are to [[expect surprises]] we are setting ourselves up for presence. If the [[Theory of Action]] is at play then people are being built and social systems are being created to protect the status quo. But what's the cost of this? If we [[invest in loss to get new growth]], we are looking for Innovation by focusing on [[Identifying Reality]], by being open the the inevitable world change that is coming. This reminds me of [[Leadership in Crises]] and the idea by #people/amyedmondson that the paths available to [[Future Lon]] are unknowable. This is well visualized in the youtube video on [[the theme system]]
