## What is the story
- Using the science of the prediction of human behavior, Hari Seldon sets up two Foundations to take humanity through a period of downturn.
- For generations to come, people try to change the course of history.
- An unpredictable genetic mutation causes a human to be able to read and influence people's minds at a distance. "The Mule" dies young, but seems to disrupt the Seldon plan (Foundation and Empire)
- The Second Foundation tries to stay hidden while it influences people's emotional state, thus influencing history. "What is the end of a circle?"
## What else do I wonder about?
- Is free will an illusion? [[everything I do is something I get to do]]
- Is belief a reality of myself or is it constructed by outside influences? [[Every belief will be outgrown, in time]]
