## What is the thesis?
This is a journey through some of the formative experiences of the life of Richard Feynman.
Interestingly the peaks and valleys are not at all what one would expect. It is entertaining and it seems his continued curiosity and ability to explore with perseverance without fear of failing may be his biggest key to success.
## Am I convinced and why?
Yes, our formative or transformative experiences are unexpected. It’s not surprising that he glosses over what got him the Nobel Prize, but spends a lot of time on hope he tried and failed mostly with the ladies. His mentality is not one of someone who is trying to impress, this is largely a from the hip type work.
## Summarize the arguments
- O Americano, outra vez: the Brazilian school system was promoting memorization without understanding. So the students could memorize but not apply.
- Certainly Mr Big: His exploits in Las Vegas: he learned how people make money on gambling. They don’t bet against the odds, they bet people about the gambling, so they play against people’s wishes, desires for easy money, and superstitions.
- An offer you must refuse: [[deciding not to decide]], he decided not to decide about his job at Caltech, he would always stay there. And he would decide not to decide about dessert, he would always have chocolate ice cream!
## What is the other side of the argument?
## What else do I wonder about?
## Action
