## Why qualitative research
- the philosophy of qualitative research is commonly based in social [[Constructivism]] theory. Meaning is constructed by each individual, and that meaning is a valid way to describe the world. The meaning is negotiated between the researcher and the participants.
- the data comes from the words of the participants as they describe that [[Making Meaning]] process
- the methodological evaluation of the data uses inductive reasoning and [[emergence]] to create new knowledge
- The researcher brings their own point of view ![[CleanShot 2022-08-02 at 20.08.46.jpg]]![[CleanShot 2022-08-02 at 20.22.28.jpg]]![[CleanShot 2022-08-02 at 20.23.13.jpg]]
