Life is cruel, unfair, and in the end, the human story is a story of loss. In our lives, we typically will end with having lost everything we love. The question is, knowing we want to live with appreciation, [[what gets in the way?]] This reminds me of how [[our environment shapes our behavior]] because we generally run in the [[default mode]]. This reminds me of [[remove to gain]], often the most valuable way of improving us to This is a way of thinking about removing obstacles. [[Eliminate before optimize]]! This matters, because if we just focus on the wish, we end up being unlikely to make the outcome we want. ##### What would the opposite argument be? Does this help with motivation?
