**What is the big idea?**
Humans do not act as _optimizers_ when making decisions, they act more as [[satisficers]], looking for the first solution that fits the situation, then searching for the supporting data. A more sophisticated approach would be to search actively for the [[Cognitive Dissonance]], and overweight the data that disconfirms our current model.
