*What do people do with feedback depends on their literacy around feedback.*
##### what is it?
This is a shift from working on the message that is sent, to the actions taken when the message is received.
“framework for feedback literacy was constructed with five factors: Seek Feedback information (SF), Make Sense of information (MS), Use Feedback information (UF), Provide Feedback information (PF), and Manage Affect (MA)” (Dawson et al., 2024)
##### why does it matter?
Feedback literacy is the idea that feedback moments are a system between the giver and receiver, and [[Receiving Feedback]] is a hard skill to learn.
##### This reminds me of
The challenge of receiving feedback is similar to how [[speaking up training doesn't work]] very well unless you train the receiver.
##### What would the opposite argument be?
Training learners for receiving feedback is yet another burden on the learner. If feedback were better delivered for the needs of the moment, it would be received better.
