*I am the quest for new ways of knowing.*
##### what is it?
Epistemic curiosity is the quest for new ways of knowing or new knowledge
##### why does it matter?
Humans start out curious, yet our education and our [[Deciding]] processes create a sense of knowing. This sense of knowing extinguishes the flame of curiosity. Additionally, our brains believe we know more than we do, so we often are in a zone of [[unconscious incompetence]] as a novice. So we need to take active steps to stay curious as we grow, and stay humble as we experience.
##### This reminds me of
[[epistemic humility]] and how do we know what we know in the [[ways of knowing]].
##### What would the opposite argument be?
How could it be possible to create a process for changing how you think?
