It's kind of like [[Negotiate to Optimize not Compromise]], our brains can come up with new ideas if we give them the space. Divergence is a specific moment to recognize the power of the value of our different points of view. This matters because we want to have moments that open the floor to lots of ideas, and if we can get those ideas from different viewpoints then we can then look to create the best new idea. ### What would the opposite argument be? Just let the ideas flow anytime, if you constrain them to the time of divergence then you will miss out on some great concepts. ## Sources: [[Managing Transitions.png]]
