topic: [[Deciding]] people: #people/richardfeynman created: 2023-08-05 *by Deciding not to decide you don’t have to worry about thinking about that anymore.* This reminds me of [[decision fatigue]], and the benefits of [[Everything should be make as simple as possible, but not simpler]] It's kind of like [[a simple no]], and [[Hell Yes or No]], you start with No and then never have to make a decision. This is a mantra that can be applied to life to so - I’ve decide not to decide: - My marriage - Where I live - Working at Concord Hospital - Things I’m considering - What to wear - should I have a uniform for the rest of the days when I’m not working clinically - What websites to read daily - What pods to listen to This matters because [[happy people tend to be those who control their time and energy]] If you can reserve your energy for important things you can let the unimportant things go. For clinical work, I always wear my blue scrubs! Don’t worry about it! ##### What would the opposite argument be? If you close your mind to future decisions, is that the best way to be?
