*In complex systems, which means anything with people, teams, time, etc, the best we can do is create conditions, we can't force outcomes.*
This reminds me of [[Farming]], and how [[Farmers can't cram for the harvest]]. Farmers can till the soil, provide fertilizer, carbon, nitrogen, and other essential elements. Only the pea can do the growing.
It's kind of like [[learning happens naturally]], if we can allow learners to get into a growth [[Mindset]] so that they can [[be available for the opportunity]] to learn through performing in a context of [[psychological safety]]. It's kind of like using [[Circle Up]] and [[Project L&L With HUSF]] to create the routines for [[wellness]].
[[create the conditions]] is a mantra I would like to use when I'm in a position of [[Leading]]
This matters because with [[reactance]], pushing people to do or be a certain way will backfire. Instead embracing where they are at, and working on the system around them is the only way things will improve.
In organizations, there is a U-shaped curve for resources and effectiveness of teams:

##### What would the opposite argument be?
[[cognitive reframing]] approaches from the opposite angle, it doesn't work on the conditions for learning or wellness, it works on the mindset. Here is a place where [[The Dichotomy of Leadership]] means that one can be a leader by setting a vision, can be [[Mentoring]] by asking good questions, and can be [[Coaching]] and [[facilitating]] by helping people experiment and learn.
