It's kind of like [[Expert Blind Spot]] and other forms of [[Blind Spot]] inhibit our ability to [[Identifying Reality]]. This is a world view with the Dunning-Kruger Effect that helps you realize that it's not helpful to use confidence as a marker for competence. Our goal should be to be in [[the sweet spot of confidence]] This matters because you should [[focus attention]] away from self-assessment and towards data collection (if the goal is self-reflection) and towards [[Learning]] conversations if the goal is learning ### What would the opposite argument be? It's important to know how confident someone is in their performance.
