*How does communication bring us together or pull us apart.*
##### what is it?
This theory is about communicating in a context and the tension between maintaining position and individuality and joining together.

##### why does it matter?
If we are aware that you can either be growing together or apart with each action, you can try to grow together in the moments of tension.
##### This reminds me of
[[actions that promote approachability]] are so important to keep in mind when we are in moments where our [[Identity]] is challenged, especially during speaking up moments, because [[seeing and hearing speaking up behaviors is not natural for leaders]].
##### What would the opposite argument be?
Putting theory into action is quite difficult when it comes to the complexity of communication, with backgrounds of culture and context being huge

[[Blind Spot]]s. [[all models are wrong but some are useful]], so consider in what ways this theory is useful to apply to the situation, but others like the [[Four Sides Model]] is just as useful.
