*Think differently as a group.*
This reminds me of [[co-design]], and the messiness of [[transitions involve a messy middle]].
It's kind of like [[premortem]] as an approach to opening the door to seeing things differently as a group.
##### Sources:
- Complexify contentious topics - look at many lenses as opposed to black and white
- Don’t shy away from competing claims
- Expand emotional range
- Include broader set including curiosity, confusion, ambivalence
##### Organizationally
- Abandon “Best practices” work instead on process accountability
- Establish psych safety
- Leader vulnerability
- A bad process with good outcome is luck, good process with bad outcome
why does it matter
- If you [[don't fall in love with your first idea]], and you [[don't believe everything you think]], you open the door to getting to a better position. When you do this as a group it's like [[Negotiate to Optimize not Compromise]]
##### What would the opposite argument be?
You can't rethink everything, who has the time? You need to pick your most important ideas and spend time on them. Also, sometimes you just need to keep stability.
