This reminds me of [[Power, For All]] using [[inclusive leadership]] strategies. Since the people who do the work are the ones who know the solutions and do the [[Learning]].
It's kind of like [[actions that promote approachability]] so that we can get [[beyond ‘did it work?’]] when thinking about how educational interventions make change. Maybe co-design is a form of [[Good Friction]].
This is a motto for [[Teaming by Amy Edmondson]] when there is a chance to create something. Using [[Design thinking]] requires that a diverse group of people who will use the project will be able to give input over the building process.
This matters because when people come to you with projects or ideas, this is a great way of being involved but also being sure you [[don't take the monkey]]. If the eventual goal is to have something lasting that works, co-design is a key way of getting there. Since [[Farmers can't cram for the harvest]], there is a certain amount of time and energy required to create something useful.
