*What I don't look for, I don't see.*
It's kind of like paying attention to the learning process of being an [[autotelic]] and using the growth [[Mindset]] at all times.
Awareness is about paying attention to the actual reality of our world. What are all the signals we are getting, from our emotions, from our body, from our peers, from the environment. How can we be open to those signals? How can we be open to interpreting the world closer to reality?
This matters because we are always getting [[Coaching]] from the world if we are only able to listen to it. When I'm on the computer and eating granola, am I listening to my body through awareness about when I'm full? When I'm talking to someone am I paying attention through awareness to my signals and needs or to all the available signals and needs?
### What would the opposite argument be?
Be open to any stimulation that might come across my will reduce my power, I'll always be paying attention to outside and not paying attention to bigger issues. The mind only has a certain bandwidth, I cannot waste it on paying attention to everything! I need to make choices ahead of time to what's really important. Life is short, I have to pay attentioh to myself and my own needs.
