# Shine
*The specific feeling to you that gives you the rush of reward.*
This reminds me of my goal of rewarding the positive. In this case, we are rewarding doing one thing, instead of the thing being the reward. We are trying to find a reward that is correct for the moment.
It's kind of like happiness, sunshine, orgasm, [[love]], and other ideal moments in life.
A concept from [[Tiny Habits]] that I will reference frequently: the positive reward that resonates with that _individual_ that can support the development of new habits.
It matters because if you can find the right habit loop feedback, the right reward will make the thing more likely in the future.
One ways of creating shine is to save up for something you really want, then only buy it after there’s something you’ve done that you want to be reminded of. That way, every time you use this thing, you’ll be reminded of what you did to deserve it! (Hygge)
### What would the opposite argument be?
Many things ARE their own reward, especially for some people. What's the reward of making your bed? Seeing order. Not shine
