# Inquiry

I might be stating that my goals are to be a family man _eg. espoused theory_, but my actions are to go away all the time for work and to do lots of work activities / self-promotion, etc. so my _theory in use_ is to put work above family.
The Inquiry is the way of asking, "I say I'm a family man but I do spend little time at home, what's up with that?"
Or
I say I'm into [[🐓 Idea Farm/3 Inbox of ideas/Deep Work]] but what I do is spend lots of time working on my Obsidian layout, what's up with that? - this would be followed by a surprise.
