*I judge myself on my intentions and others on their outcome.*
This reminds me of when I was med staff president, and I described how we were judged on our outcome, not on our effort. It reminds me of being in a position of [[Leading]] and bringing the [[Leader humility]] to the situation. To take [[Extreme Responsibility]] of my outcomes. I am out of shape? That is because I haven't put in the work. [[Farmers can't cram for the harvest]], you can't train for the half marathon the week ahead.
It's kind of like how if I want to get to an endpoint, it is through a series of decisions I make over time, through use of tools like the [[Eisenhower's Box]] and through [[Forming Habits]].
This is like the [[confirmation bias]], and other forms of failed decision making that results in systematic outcomes that are less desirable than we wish.
It matters because when we can see our [[Blind Spot]]s for what they are, we can view ourselves with more empathy than we would have.
### What would the opposite argument be?
Humans are humans, others use this so why shouldn't we?
