To reduce amygdala hijacking’s you need to have a cue of emotion and a response of [[🐓 Idea Farm/Deadfall/For myself only/Readwise/Books/Nonviolent Communication]] and a reward of [[Shine]] Amygdala takes control and moves the brain into fight or flight. We fall into the basement and need to climb back up the stairs. Our planned journey is stolen and we end up where we didn’t intend. Our cognitive brain has NO hope versus the emotional overlay of the amygdala, which takes everything as a threat. This matters because we cannot be the person we want to be under these circumstances. ### What would the opposite argument be? You are always you and always responsible. This is a side of you just like any other. Don’t put the blame on the amygdala, you’re just being a reactive asshole. ## Sources: Dan Goldman
