*Let your first idea be, and keep moving to get to a better one!* This reminds me of [[acknowledge and redirect]], make sure you separate your idea from your [[Identity]] so [[don't believe everything you think]]. [[One of the best ways to change your brain is to change your body]], so get your first idea out, then move around. [[Thinking in Systems]], creating a process for [[System 1]] to come out and be evaluated skeptically by [[System 2]] to get your best decisions. This is a useful mantra to have when your first idea comes about. If I have a mantra like this, I can better let go of my ideas so I can improve them. It will help me from being in my own [[Idea cults]] ##### What would the opposite argument be? Answering a multiple choice test? It's best to go with your instinct. Many areas where lots of data needs to be evaluated expertly and quickly, the best answer is the first.
