*What do I want said about me, about my program, about my presentation?* This reminds me of memento mori, the idea that if we remember our impending death it keeps us aware of what’s important. It's kind of like [[🐓 Idea Farm/🪾Deadfall/For myself only/Readwise/Books/Understanding by Design]], how we start with what people need to be ready to do. It is how you want to consider the end of a project, of a program, of a life, and how each step connects to that end. What do you want to say in the end? It matters to me because I do not know when I will die. I do know I will. How do I want to leave work each day? How do I want to feel at the end of a meeting, a simulation, a day, a week, a month, a year? Since [[emotion changes the world we are in]], the only real way for me to make change to the reality is to [[the way to change the world is by changing yourself]]. ### What would the opposite argument be? If you are always worried about dying, can you ever really be living? Worrying and being aware of are two different things. ## Sources:
