#time/season # 2024 - the year of "Water" Dates 2024-06-20 -> 2024-09 ![[CleanShot 2023-03-26 at 11.54.59.jpg]] I have a 12 week year plan: This means, I should think of the Quarter (season) as a Cycle: ## What are my immediate reactions to this last season? - Feeling exhausted - although elements of me are doing a better job with rest, for example I think my sleep hygiene is better, I'm feeling the additive effects of ongoing exhaustion. Can I help myself from over-planning? Is this really how I want to feel? The reality is the clinical work is continuous stress at CH-Concord. I really need full recovery days after those shifts, and don't have it with the current plan. Working clinically so much is good for the coffers but feels currently unsustainable. Do the math around different ratios of work at Littleton - schedule and $, is there a happy medium? [Do the math around different ratios of work at Littleton](https://todoist.com/app/task/8138564366) - Uncertainty - given that this fall is going to be even more transition, how do I stay in the "able to plan for the future" mode with the uncertainty. It does feel that if I could work 4 shifts a month at Littleton as my full clinical job, wouldn't that open up SO MANY MORE rest days. It's just an actual rest math issue? Or, are there other ways I can rest. What about [[remove to gain]], what do I need to remove? How about non-driving podcast listening? Is it restorative? Or not? I guess active experimentation would be a way of understanding ... ## During this season I hope to: _Review I want to..., Home, MOC, Projects backlog, calendar, Books to read, Todoist, Kanban Boards_ - Climb outside twice per month - See family twice per month - stay financially viable - Feel rested and well and healthy ![[2024-03 Want to]] ## What did I actually do this quarter? _Review Journal, Calendar, Photos, MOC, Library_ ### Calendar - [[writing for the english reader]] - the amazing Writers Workshop with Lorelei Lingard and Chris Waitling at Peggy's Cove![[FE35A1CF-9EE0-4BA0-B1FD-13D46B871332_1_105_c.jpeg]] - trips to Rumney: First multipitch lead with Basil on "Lady and the Tramp" ![[1F72E74B-534E-451F-AD54-61C42E363ADA_1_105_c.jpeg]] - sustainable exercise Some lifting, running, climbing: VO2 max increasing - Phenomenal gardening ![[90E10F9C-7A85-4773-A945-7FA137C61A15_1_105_c.jpeg]] - Davidson's camping - got 4 FULL days :) ![[AE2ADD0F-B099-4856-A4B9-E4829261E8C3_1_105_c.jpeg]] ### Photos ### MOC ### Library ![[2024-02 Idea Notes]] ## What was meaningful for me this season? ### Wellness - Phenomenal family stuff: Red Rocks, Zion, Boston, NY, NJ, Cape, Mousilauke, Justine's house, Father's Day ![[2024 Spring Canva Photos.jpg]] ### Work - Didn't make progress on writing - Got LOTS of new experiences with CMS including consulting, travel, HSE - Started at Littleton Regional Healthcare as Per Diem - Got paper accepted into JEMS with Wes Nelson ### Novelty - Climbing Climbing Climbing -> Getting outdoors. - Used ChatGTP to do this difficult calculation process resulting in a possible solution: CMS FTE 0.5 = 10 days/month ($5,600/mo) So, if I can get the average 4 shifts/mo from Littleton ($21,600/mo) Would give a total of $27,225/mo in 14 days = $326,000, an increase in pay and reduction in days, opening up time for adventures, hobbies, travel, work with Richard Marn, conferences, etc. while still being able to rest Other options shown below | | | | --- | --- | | | | ![[CleanShot 2024-06-21 at 11.16.10.jpg]] - ![[2024 Adjusted_Work_Schedule_Financial_Analysis.xlsx]] ### Reading ![[2024-02 Reading]] ### Reflection - ### What happened that in the moment was painful? Totally painful was the "dick tick" comment at Rutgers Mice chewed the apple trees - ### How did I later come to see it as something I learned from? Grace and Chris were generous with feedback. I talked to Grace openly about it, she helped me "think that you're talking to a 5 year old" - ### What did I change my mind about?
