*How our emotion follows our sensations, not the other way around.* This reminds me of the physical pain that we try to avoid with [[Cognitive Dissonance]] It's kind of like [[Emotions live between people rather than within]]. If we start to think of a two way street between our emotions and our physical attributes, we can do a better job managing them. This also reminds me of #people/evepurdy and the idea of the [[Beyond the Safe Container]], the two way street. This is the idea of our body acting before our emotions kick in, not vice versa. we don't cry because we feel sad, we feel sad because we are crying. Anxiety and activation feel the same. We can change our [[cognitive frames]] around those sensations, so we can start to identify that [[anger floods us with motivation]], that activation narrows our focus, and that if we can sense what we are really feeling through [[interoception]], we can then use those sensations for [[Psychic Flourishing]] ### What would the opposite argument be? [[emotion changes the world we are in]], the emotions come first. ## Sources:
