"*How do I make sure I'm capturing and creating and internalizing good ideas?*" ## What is it? This is a mantra applied to a process for capturing ideas that I come across. ## Why does it matter? In daily life, we constantly come across new ideas. But, they can be like a wave, heading out as efficiently as they come in. By following the "read (or listen), think, write" mantra, we ensure the exposure is not wasted. ## This reminds me of [[GTD Methodology]], [[Zettelkasten]], [[Making Notes Not Taking Notes]], and [[Making Meaning]], as well as [[active learning]]. You have to do something with a concept to learn it. ## What would the opposing view be? This is too much work. We come across ideas all the time. If you're going to be a participant in the modern information economy, you can't be doing all this thinking and writing. ## Sources: Podcast: Should I Press Pause? | Monday Advice.
